1. Welcome to MEDIATOR PCI 1200

Thank you for purchasing the MEDIATOR PCI 1200 busboard. Please read the
manual carefully before the installation.

1.1. Hardware Features

MEDIATOR PCI 1200 is based on ELBOX high performance core logic
implementation, optimised for all Amiga turbo cards in order to deliver
high computation performance:

4 PCI slots (PCI 2.1 compatible),
33 MHz PCI clock (66 MHz with SharkPPC G3/G4 card),
 32 bit PCI datapatch,
Busboard is mechanically compatible with Amiga 1200 in E/BOX
(Power Tower) and Infinitiv tower cases,
Transfer rates between PCI devices up to 132 MB/s
  (264 MB/s with SharkPPC G3/G4 card),
Ready to run with the existing Amiga 68k and PPC accelerator cards.

2.2. How to set Jumpers in MEDIATOR PCI 1200

MEMORY WINDOW

Set 0 MB If you use 8MB RAM installed in the memory expansion or
in the turbo card configuring this memory in the lower boundary
            (e.g. M-TEC 1230 turbo card).

Set 4 MB If you use 4MB RAM installed in the memory expansion or
in the turbo card configuring this memory in the lower boundary
(e.g. M-TEC 1230 turbo card) or if you use the 4 MB PCMCIA
            memory expansion

Set 8 MB If you use 8 MB or more RAM installed in the turbo card
configuring this memory in the higher boundary (all the turbo
cards for which more than 8MB Fast RAM may be installed e.g.
            Apollo 1230, Apollo 1240, Apollo 1260, Blizzard 1230,
Blizzard 1240, Blizzard 1260, Blizzard PPC, Elbox 1230-II).

Note: All Mediator PCI 1200 busboards with serial numbers from
3200001 to 3201338 should have the "memory window" jumper
            set to 4 MB.

CONFIG

Set CLOSED If you use A1200 with memory expansion cards, M-Tec 1230,
            Elbox 1230, GVP 1230, Apollo 1230, Apollo 1240, Apollo 1260
            and all old Blizzard cards.

Set OPEN If you use A1200 with an empty expansion slot,
            and all new Blizzard cards.

Note: You may check whether the CONFIG jumper setting is correct as
            follows:
Stop the computer boot by pressing both mouse buttons.
Find the product number 32 (manufacturer 2206) and (only if
the MEMORY WINDOW jumper is set to 4 or 8 MB) product number
160 (manufacturer 2206) in the Expansion Board Diagnostic.

Note: The "can't open pci.library" message means that the CONFIG
            jumper is not set correctly.

Note: (only for Blizzard 1240 users)
Applies only to some Blizzard 1240 pieces.
When the MAPROM function is on, the card configures differently
at the computer's start-up than in further resets.
If this is your card, with the MAPROM function on, at the
computer's starting up the Mediator's CONFIG jumper should be
set OPEN, with the CLOSED setting proper for any further starts.

Therefore, if you want to use the MAPROM function, please set
the CONFIG jumper in Mediator as CLOSED and force the software
reset before the first recall to the pci.library. (In case of
            OS3.5/3.9, SetPatch does this.)

If you do not want to use the MAPROM function, the CONFIG jumper
should be set OPEN for this card.

WAIT

Set OPEN Default.

Set CLOSED If you are using Apollo1240-1260 with Voodoo4 or Voodoo5.
